Mini Haul: Cute Finds

Early in the morning I was dragged to this local shop in my area. Little did I know I would find such cute things! This is mainly home stuff, well it's all home stuff except for the phone case. It's all so cute I had to share.

The first thing I found were these bottles and mason jar glasses. Once I saw them I knew I had to get a few. they came with the black lids and these adorable red and white striped straws and obviously, on the front it has the option to write on it with chalk. These are perfect to make a lunch with whomever a lot cuter. Presentation is everything.

Next, I got these fake succulents as decor for my room. You could ask "why would you buy fake succulents". Well, unfortunately, my window in my room is blocked off with something built in my backyard, so getting real ones to display in my room would only kill them. I love how they look though so I thought these would be cute. They fit the vibe of my room perfectly as well so that's a bonus.

I got the adorable bulletin boards, also for my room. They're a lot smaller then the ones I usually see so I got two. They're about the size of a regular notebook or binder, a bit larger. These are unique though, they are split in half with it being half the normal brown textured material. The other half is white and a similar feel to it. It's basically two toned. I love it because my room is all white furniture and this is just a small detail I love. I plan on putting my polaroid photos on there and small notes I've received. They'll be my "good vibe" boards.

A smaller thing I got which is just something I needed were small candles. I use these for my wax burner. They're unscented and work well, I knew they would considering they're just basic candles. They came in a pack of 16 so I got two of them. I use these often, I also love using them when I'm taking baths so I'm set for a bit.

I of course got a phone case for my iPhone 5S. It's a snap on case with a wood design to it. I mainly got these because I enjoyed the look and I've been needing a new phone case. The one I have now is great but the silicone is getting "loose". People who use silicone cases understand what I mean. This case will just be temporary until I get a new one I really want.

I love shopping for home decor so I hope to do more of these kinds of hauls!

Happy New Year!

2014 was an overall good year for me! I'm happy to say that because I usually talk about how terrible the previous year was. Of course there were up and downs but I surrounded myself around positive vibes and overall just good people. I'm thrilled to say that I'm excited to see what this year has in store for me.
I guess you could say 2014 was the year for photographs. Specifically, polaroid type of photos. As soon as I got the camera, I wanted to make sure I used it as often as I could to create special memories, and I'm happy to say I achieved that. One of my resolutions for 2015 is to take a ton more photos. I just love creating memories with them.
Here you'll see some of my more 'memorable' photographs. From going to Utah for the first time with a friend, to a choir performance I was extremely proud of. To smaller things such as going out to dinner with my older sister. Even seeing my very close friend Estefani open her Christmas gift and catching her reaction on camera. I obviously love all the photos I've taken and I can say that with pride considering how it's obviously a "1 shot" kind of thing. These stood out to me though.

If you're wondering what camera I used to take these photos it's the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Film Camera. As seen in this photo. I own it in black and I will soon post an in depth review of the camera so be on the lookout for that.

I can't make a new years post without stating my resolutions, right? For 2015, I overall just want to be happier. I also hope to take tons of amazing photos, silly but it's true. Another silly thing is I hope to complete my sailor moon SHFiguarts collection.  I want to travel a bit this year and lastly, I want to stick to blogging. So fingers crossed!

REVIEW: T.U.K Velvet Creepers in Emerald Green

I'm big on "out of the norm" kind of shoes and I've always been in LOVE with creepers. This Christmas I was blessed enough to get a pair as a gift from my mother. I've been swooning over these for months and now that I finally have them I thought I'd do a review.

Overall, I absolutely love the shoes. I was a bit worried they would be heavy and they're definitely not a light shoe but the weight of them doesn't cause me any issues. The shoes together are roughly 5lb, so individually they're roughly 2.5lb. This can change depending on what size shoe you are. I personally am able to walk in them for long periods of time with no problem. When it comes to quality, these feel like a dream! The velvet is extremely soft, I honestly cannot get over it. I'm always worried shoes won't look as they do on the website if I'm purchasing shoes that aren't black. I saw these online and the color is spot on. The emerald green is so vibrant and in natural lighting it gives it tons of beautiful shades of emerald green. As shown in the photos. When it comes to sizing, I'm always a size US 11 in men and in these I had to size down to a US 10. So I recommend you size down 1 whole size if purchasing online. They do not offer these shoes in half sizes unfortunately but if you have a shop that sells creepers near you  I recommend going and trying on pairs in different sizes and see what best fits you.

The shoes are not difficult to walk in, at least I don't think so. If you're not used to walking in platform shoes then these will definitely take some getting used to but it'll be easy to adjust to the height difference with the platform. Overall these shoes nothing but amazing and I'm so grateful to be able to have these.
